Introductions, Announcements, Rumors, and Gossip

Featured Talk: CoolForth - Neil Bawd and Wil Baden
CoolForth does many things that could be done (but aren't) in Win32Forth, SwiftForth, GForth, etc. It also does many things that cannot be done in those dialects. They will also discuss their Glossary Extractor.

Break for afternoon tea
Networking and demonstrations.

Featured Talk: Traffic Signal Emulator - John Peters
The traffic signal emulator application is compiled on top of Web Forth. As you know Web Forth is available on the Internet via any browser. John has been modifying it. He downloaded a copy runs it locally to test hisimprovements. John has not been able to get any response from the original authors other than to say we're still here. His modifications show some examples of a way to give the driver a little more advance notice before the yellow signal surprises you.

Anyone who would like to present at an SVFIG meeting should contact John D. Carpenter,

Tentatively scheduled for May: Al Mitchell will talk about AMR's new line of embedded controllers which run Basic written in an underlying tethered Forth. It has some sort of Basic Stamp behavior.
