From John Carpenter:

Cogswell College notified me that the building will be closed until about mid September *after* the Agenda for the August meeting was sent out. It took a few days to find out that there would be no one at the College and that the meeting would either have to be cancelled or changed.

On the evening of 8/18, it was determined that the meeting would be changed as follows:

We are invited to informally meet at the C.H. Ting residence at 156 14th Avenue in San Mateo. The route is 101 to 92, West on 92 to El Camino exit northbound, North on El Camino to 14th, right on 14th to Tings house at 156 (right hand side). Caltrain stop is Hayward Park which is within walking distance.

Speakers may show up and present if they desire. There will be only a white board and the PCs do not have a SVGA monitor.

Ting's invitiation is as follows:

....you are all invited to my house for the SVFIG meeting on Saturday, August 22, 10 am to 5 pm. We can go to a near-by restaurant and have Chinese pancake/donut with soy milk for lunch at 11:30 am.

If the speakers show up, they will present their scheduled talks. If speakers do not show, we will talk among ourselves. There has never been a shortage of discussion topics.

The largest room in the house can seat 20 people. The living room, the dinning room and the study can hold small group meetings. There are two Windows computers and a Mac.

After 5 pm, people can talk some more and go out for dinner together.

Here is the original agenda:
