iMAC Firmware in Detail - John Hall
John will discuss the firmware in Apple's latest products which support CD and DVD drives. The development of the iMac open firmware will be featured.

A Binary Keyboard to play Binary Music - C.H. Ting
Dr Ting proposes a keyboard with 16 even tempered note intervals per octave; a hex on classical composition. He will demonstrate some Bach organ pieces with this scale.

Post meeting "tea" at a Mt. View coffee house or somewhere else is possible - if it is too early for dinner. "Weird Stuff" is not too far away - most months, a few bargain/oddity hunters gather there after the meeting.
