Extending “Word Embedding” in Large Language Models to Include "Stack-words” - Liang Ng
"I will discuss 'word embedding' in Large Language Models (LLM), specifically llama.cpp, to include 'stack-words' or 'stack machine words', which is simply referred to as 'words' in Forth terminology, with the intention to determine if LLM is capable of generating valid Forth (and derivative) expressions.”

Redesigning Forth: Comptime Register Stack on Arm64; Optimization Tricks; Color-Forth in ASCII - Nelo Mitranim
Nelo will discuss these topics:

  • Adapting stack-style programming to register-based ISAs.
  • How to turn stack-style code into good register codegen WITHOUT a smart compiler.
  • Constant folding from within the language.
  • Syntax experiments for readability:
    • Distinguish nouns, verbs, and declarations in plain ASCII.
    • Use general rules which work when extending the vocabulary.
    • Make your Forth color-FUL in any editor!

SoftSIM in arrayForth - Greg Bailey
“I plan to show one or more short videos on the use of SoftSIM in arrayForth to understand what's going on inside GreenArray chips.“

CoSy Update - Bob Armstrong
"Most CoSy definitions are one line long."

Visits wth Forthers - John Rible
"I will give a summary of the Forth people I visited on my two-month, 9500-mile, trip to my 60th MIT reunion: David Petty and the Millers in MA, Greg Baily in MO, Rich Wagner in CO, and Chuck Moore in NV."

Dr. Ting BBQ Rememberance Lunch - The Treehouse at Stanford

Future

CoSy Update - Bob Armstring
"I can talk on progress toward eclipsing the trade computing environments with Forth CoSy for the ultimate target market of female entrepreneurs who consistently compare CoSy with Evernote and Notion, both of which have ~ $B valuations after a couple of $100m investments. But both don't have the radically open foundation provided by Forth. (Notion does evolve from SmallTalk.) "

Automatic Differentiation in Forth - Brad Nelson
"I'll explore using Forth Recognizers to implement automatic differentiation and explore differential programming."

Windows Shell Support in Win32Forth - Bill Ragsdale
Bill will examine the three levels of direct user's Forth interface to a Windows based PC.

Creole Forth and Picar-X, Part 2 - Joseph M. O'Connor
Joseph will continue his presentation of Creole Forth for Python which he used to develop commands for the Picar-X robotic car.

Smart Token System - Don Golding
Don will discuss a combination of Color Forth constructs: a packet like structure for the cell.

Getting Started with arrayForth - Greg Bailey
"I will present a video on the simple process of downloading, installing, and using arrayForth 3."

Direction Finding - Andrew Korsak
Andy is planning to present this application.
