Simulating a Java / Forth Virtual Machine - CH Ting
"I have a JVM / FVM synthesized on the Quartus II IDE, but I do not have a FPGA kit to test or verify its operation. To test the outer interpreter, I implemented a soft UART consisting of a Terminal Input Buffer and a Terminal Output Buffer residing in the main memory. It runs at the speed of the master clock for ease of simulation.”

ForthBox Update - Samuel A. Falvo II
“Work on the Kestrel-1 redesign continues, albeit slowly. Since I last gave an update, the development emulator is now working and the subroutine-threaded Forth-subset cross-compiler seems to be working as well, but more testing is required."

A Forth Challenge for December - Bill Ragsdale
"Compute (approximately) 100! (100 factorial) using Forth's integer math, using your favorite method and, if available, check your result with floating point math. For extra credit, compute 100! exactly. For even more credit, how would you calculate the number of trailing zeros?"
