Elevator Simulation Challenge - Bill Ragsdale I
have codified my version of the challenge with this design.
The Challenge: Create a visual
simulation of elevator traffic in a building:
- The building has 10 floors from G, 2 through 10.
- The elevator capacity is five passengers.
- The door open time is 1 second.
- The travel time between floors is 1 second.
- 70% of all elevator activity is to or from the Ground floor
(35% to; 35% from; 30% floor to floor.)
- Only stop at floors with down passengers / calls when going
down and conversely. (i.e. Skip up calls when traveling down.)

The Game of Bridgit - Bob Armstrong Bob has a
programming challenge for us to take up!
"A game he described called `Bridgit' was one of the first
problems I tried to program in the Fortran. It was only when I later learned
Algol at Northwestern with recursion that I finally succeeded in this "maze
running" problem. When I learned APL, it became just four short linea or two
words. Write a program that will explore a path through a maze and see if it
reaches an exit."
