IoT for Fun at Maker Faire - CH Ting
"After studying the Internet of Things (IoT) for half a year, I have finally realized that Internet is not that difficult. It is complicated because nobody could explain it in a simple way. Its essence can be reduced to Socket Programming! If you learn how to set up sockets, and how to send and receive messages among the sockets, the networking problem is solved. If you start at HTTP, you will never get to the end of it."

"I will do a demo, hopefully. My PC will be a client and 4 ESP kits will be servers, each one would just play one voice. The PC is the conductor, sending out commands to the kits and playing a four-part organ piece by Bach. I got one kit playing now, and hope by the meeting, I will get all four working."

"The PC is running Python 3.6.0, and ESP kits run on MicroPython. Python and MicroPython are easier than you think. Let's have some fun!"

Reconstructing the Standalone FIG Forth PDP-11 Disk - Paul Hardy
This presentation describes the steps (and missteps) in recreating a raw disk image of the original bootable standalone 8" floppy disk distribution of PDP-11 FIG Forth. The goal is to remain as faithful to the original as possible by piecing together available information.
