eP8080 Project Report - FPGA / VHDL Design - CH
Ting "I got eP8080 to say 'ok'. Although it executes several commands
correctly, like WORDS and .S. At first, it was very brittle, crashing on
NUMBERS and many low level primitive commands. It was difficult to debug a
fresh processor with a fresh eForth system as the bugs hid in hardware and
software."
A DIY Processor Workshop Next Month? "We can organize
a DIY CPU workshop in April, if there is enough interest. 'Enough interest'
means that you will buy a Brevia2 FPGA Kit from Lattice Semiconductors for
about $50. At the meeting I will distribute an eP8080 package so that you can
practice synthesizing a CPU on the Brevia2. Then we can discuss and run
experiments on old and new CPU architectures, and emulate them on the
Brevia2."

Kestrel Updates - Samuel A. Falvo II "A
Hackaday blog article has been posted. Oberon system and compiler, and the
growing desire to start working on hardware despite not having a reliable
system software image."

In Memory of Glen We'll take a few minutes to remember
the late Glen B. Haydon and his many contributions to Forth and FIG. |

Clean Up and Adjourn "A motion to adjourn is almost
always in order, with an exception being when a vote is in progress. The motion
is not debatable and is not subject to amendment." |
