ForthOS Workshop - Chris Passauer and Alan Furman This is first of many workshops, perhaps, for the development of the operating system based on Forth. Ting will set the foundation with what the boot PROM needs to be like. The importance of this is that it can ultimately serve as a better Java Operating System by simply building in a JVM as a default as there is a redundancy between Java bytecode primitives and Forth word primitives. |

Lunch Pizza or subs from Togos? Bring your Forth problem to Glen Haydon and he will organize his Brown Bag Tutorial accordingly. |

The smallest eForth, less than 4K bytes! - C.H. Ting Ting had successfully shoehorn an eForth into the 4K byte memory of 8051. He will demonstrate this system and talk about how to port it to other small microprocessors. Forth-Stamp is becoming a reality. |

Adjournment Post meeting "tea" at a Mt. View coffee house or somewhere else is possible - if it is too early for dinner. "Weird Stuff" is not too far away - most months, a few bargain/oddity hunters gather there after the meeting. |
