21st Century Forth Visions - lead by John Carpenter
A blue sky discussion by all attendees about what Forth should be like in the future to make it uniquely beneficial to solving software problems. John's idea of environmental fuzzy interpretation will be used to catalize the discussion as well as answering the question as to what are the features and applications of yet another interpreter that would make it the Forth interpreter that should be standardized for its richness in tools.

12:00

Lunch
Pizza? or subs from Togos? and Glen Haydon's Brown Bag Tutorial. Bring your forth problem to Glen and he will organize the tutorial accordingly.

13:30

More on the ADSP2100 Forth - Dwight Elvey
The compiler is working quite well in the test stage without optimization and by the time of the talk, there will be an optimization capability. Unoptimized comparisons are made with a 1k sort algorithm that ran in 19.1 msec on the 4MHz NC4000 and now runs on the 33MHz 2181 in 8.7 msec.

14:30

Break

15:00

Stiquito - John Rible
Anyone want to build a little Forth walky robot bug? John will talk about a kit for this.

16:00

Adjournment
Post meeting "tea" at a Mt. View coffee house or somewhere is possible - if it is too early for dinner. "Weird Stuff" is not too far away; most months, a few bargain/oddity hunters gather there after our meetings.
